BEYOND BORDERS: CENTRAL ASIA IN THE FACE OF CLIMATE CHANGE, WATER SCARCITY, AND MIGRATION CHALLENGES
We can provide financial support through DAAD to cover travel and accommodation expenses for a limited number of presenters with accepted abstracts from Central Asia and Germany. Financial support for travel will be awarded up to the amount as indicated below:

Travel costs will be covered for an economy flight in the case of air travel. In addition, accommodation costs for up to three nights in Tashkent will be covered for each presenter.
To apply for financial support, please upload a CV with the submission of the abstract.
In selecting applicants to receive financial support, the following prioritization will be applied in this order to presenters with accepted extended abstracts:
- Early career researchers, including PhD students affiliated with organizations in Central Asia.
- Early career researchers, including PhD students affiliated with organizations in Germany.
- Postdoctoral and senior researchers affiliated with organizations in Central Asia.
- Postdoctoral and senior researchers affiliated to organizations in Germany.
By accepting a travel grant, applicants commit to:
- Contact the Conference organizers to arrange travel and accommodation immediately after being notified about the financial support.
- Communicate the progress of their travel arrangements to the Conference organizers.
- Provide their flight boarding cards and other travel cost receipts to the Conference organizers on the first day of the conference.
- Participate and present at the conference.
More information about arranging flight tickets and accommodation will be communicated via email after the notification of accepted abstracts and travel grants.
