Abstract submission is open for

BEYOND BORDERS: CENTRAL ASIA IN THE FACE OF CLIMATE CHANGE, WATER SCARCITY, AND MIGRATION CHALLENGES
    Call for abstracts

We invite the submission of extended abstracts within a range of 700 – 1000 words, including a short abstract of maximum 200 words and bibliography, in English language in strict compliance with the formatting guidelines.

The extended abstract should be prepared using the provided template and include a concise summary of the significance, major research questions, data and methods, and findings.

The extended abstracts should be submitted by 7 June 2024 at https://www.conftool.org/nexus2024/.

All submitted abstracts will go through a peer review process. Based on a peer review process, a limited number of contributions will be selected for presentation during the conference.

Submissions of abstracts by researchers from Central Asia, as well as comparative and cross-country empirical, cross-sectional longitudinal, and theoretical contributions, are particularly welcome.

Conference abstract book

Authors of accepted abstracts will receive an invitation to submit revised, extended abstracts for inclusion in the conference abstract book to be published online as a conference book. These proceedings are scheduled for publication with an ISBN number on the conference website. Further details will be provided in due course.

Travel grants

We offer travel/accommodation grants to participants with accepted extended abstracts. More information about travel grants you can read at https://conference.wiut.uz/nexus2024/travel-grants

Location & languages

The conference will be held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, in the conference facilities of the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT). The conference language is English. Simultaneous translation from/to Russian will be provided during the sessions.
