Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) is pleased to host the Second Student Research Society Conference (SRSC 2024) titled “Amplifying Student Voices: Inspiring SDGs Action through Student-Led Initiatives”. This research society conference aims to bring together undergraduate (bachelor) and postgraduate (master) students from Central Asia, who have research interests in business, management, economics, finance, public health, computing, international law, education, languages and related disciplines.
This conference will allow students to present their research ideas to their peers and senior researchers from different universities and stakeholders from the private and public sectors. It will also enable students to experience academic practice by attending the conference.
The conference will include presentations of research proposals/papers. Experts from industry and academia will participate in presentation sessions and give their feedback to students on how to improve their research. Selected research papers will be published in Conference Proceedings, WIUT Research Working Paper Series, or the international peer-reviewed journal, Silk Road: A Journal of Eurasian Development, published by the University of Westminster Press (UK).
The conference will be hosted by Westminster International University in Tashkent in a hybrid mode, bringing in-person and virtual participants (online) together. For in-person participants, organisers will cover meals and refreshments. Conference participants willing to join the conference in-person in Tashkent are expected to cover their travel, accommodation, and other related expenses. There is no participation fee for the conference. The working language of the conference will be English.
Participants are expected to submit their extended abstract (400-500 words), including all authors' full names, affiliations, and contact details. Proposals will be evaluated through a peer-review process according to the originality of the theme and the scholarly contribution of research and/or practice, as applicable.
