In the age of fourth industrial revolution, regions, countries, and businesses are growing rapidly by investing in technological innovations. In fact, the global economy is now a days driven by the developments and applications of the so-called emergent technologies. Unsurprisingly, these technological innovations bring regions, countries, and businesses closer together for sustainable economic growth. On the other hand, fostering connectivity and technological innovations also enlarge the dependencies and asymmetries between countries in the global north with those in the global south. At the same time, we also expect continuous financial innovation (FinTech) in the domestic and global financial markets to fund businesses and countries for removing inequalities.
In sum, we expect to receive contributions that theoretically and empirically explore how the innovation and global connectivity help to reduce the gap between countries and business enabling a path towards achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
