3rd International Conference on Education and Linguistics (ICEL)
Westminster International University in Tashkent
May 12, 2022 Tashkent, Uzbekistan
Title of the conference: Enhancing the effectiveness and quality of teaching and research
Raising the effectiveness and quality of teaching and research has been very topical all the time. Especially the current situation with pandemic has shown the downsides of teaching in students’ achievements and lack of research in teacher effectiveness in 21st century has revealed its consequences. As long as effective teaching directly impacts students’ academic success, it must be at the forefront of language education in Central Asia. Current research and practice in the language teaching field have to adjust to the rapid changes around us, considering online and offline modes of education. Lack of understanding about teacher effectiveness in the classroom in both formats, we as educators lose our students’ attention, underestimate their learning capacities and life skills. While the western education system considers acquiring 21st-century skills for students and teachers, we should try to catch up with the developments.
For that reason, this conference encourages educators to submit papers focusing on the best works in research and practice. The conference aims to set the bridges that will contribute to a constructive dialogue in Central Asia. It also brings together teachers and researchers not only from Central Asia, but also from other parts of the world to enhance current knowledge and practice regarding language education.
